Some schools create a math club that meets once or twice a week at lunch time or after school to practice and build team work. 

Tournaments

The next Eastern Ontario Math League Math tournament will be on April 19, 2024.

Growing Interest

To share in the passion for problem solving and to inspire some young minds to develop interest in mathematics and computer science. A solid foundation in Mathematics is essential for pursuing higher education in numerous science and engineering programs. There are Queen’s Outreach programs to support coding and STEM activities.

Mathletes improve themselves and moreover help others

 

Differing from typical high school students, Mathletes dedicate themselves into improving the grades of their peers so everyone has a better chance in making it into college/university.  A unique aspect of Mathletes is how they take the time to mentor each other in struggling subjects;  this underscores the Math League club's motto of giving more than they receive.

Moreover, Mathletes challenge themselves constantly by trying to solve more difficult problems, and want to help their team mates to learn from each other.

So if you want to help others and you want to give back become a Mathlete!

 

 

 

 


We can solve problems anywhere any time.  Let us work together and see.

A definite trend in the workforce towards math suave persons . . . are highly sought after. 

 

There is no limit how far a mathlete can reach in solving problems.  They can start at very young ages developing amazing skills in mathematics.  Our League will develop resources to younger mathletes who would like to work at home solving puzzles.

For many years, math was relegated to accountants. It was anything but glamorous.  Since the IT revolution math is now an essential part of the advertising environment and the corporate world in nearly every department: account services, media, even creative.

As advertising has become dominated by data-driven insights and elements such as 3D technology, math is now more often the driver of business.

Why math counts

Marketing has become mostly about math. It’s not just about understanding your target audience and how to reach them; it’s about knowing how much money it takes to get your message out. It’s about data, formulas, statistics, analytics, correlations, patterns, predictive modelling and testing. Mathletes will take over the world.
