New opportunities for mathletes to grow
Through tournaments and math clubs our mathletes develop new creative heuristic skills and grow in confidence working with others. They make new social connections with students with similiar interests and unique abilities. Mathletes truly enjoy venturing into the world of competitive mathematics. Like any athlete, mathletes practice, spend hours perfecting their skills and imprving their speed. Then enthusiastically they enter to into competitions where their individual and team skills are put to the test.
Coached and supported by their math coach, our mathletes take on challenging math problems in individual contests like the Waterloo Math Contests or as teams like in the Kingston Math League Tournaments. These tournaments are designed for students with a talent and passion for mathematics. Throughout the tournament, they are challenged with varying levels of difficulty. Prizes, medals and awards are offered at different levels too. Our league has three distinct intermedidate (grades 6-8) tournaments, Regional High School tournaments and at the National level ARML. See your local high school math department for more details.
